A surgical cap is a Class I apparel item for operating rooms, primarily used to cover the hair of medical staff and patients, preventing contamination of the sterile surgical environment. Traditional models were mostly made of disposable non-woven fabric with water-resistant and antibacterial properties. To address the issue of sweat dripping caused by poor air permeability during clinical use, improved designs have been developed. Featuring three-dimensional cutting and adjustable ties, these caps fit various head shapes without pressing on the ears or slipping off, enhancing operational stability. A sweat-absorbent towel is added at the forehead for enhanced comfort and sweat absorption.

Surgical caps distinguish the identities of medical staff through a color-coding system, while printed patterns can help relieve patients' preoperative anxiety. When worn, they must fully cover the hair, front and rear hairlines, and the upper sides of both ears. For special surgeries, full-wrap surgical caps are recommended. Together with scrub suits and masks, they form a complete sterile protection system. In extended clinical applications, they can also secure post-operative ice packs to assist with nursing procedures. Suitable for use in operating rooms, ICUs, emergency departments, medical aesthetics clinics, laboratories, and other settings, they meet both high-risk and low-risk protection requirements.

Surgical caps serve multiple important functions in clinical practice:
- Contamination prevention: Effectively block hair, dandruff, and other particles from entering the surgical field, preventing contamination of the operating area and surgical instruments, and maintaining a clean and sterile surgical environment.
- Patient protection: Prevent medical staff's hair from coming into contact with patients' wounds or surgical sites, reducing the risk of cross-infection and safeguarding patients' safety and health.
- Enhanced comfort: Made of soft, breathable materials with a built-in sweatband to keep the head dry during long surgeries, providing a comfortable wearing experience and reducing discomfort.
- Identity identification: Act as an identifier for medical personnel, helping patients and team members recognize staff and ensuring smooth coordination and communication within the medical team.
- Compliance with hygiene standards: Adhere to hygiene regulations and standards, effectively avoiding cross-infection and contamination, and improving hygiene levels in operating rooms.
